New & Improved

This WorksManager release includes these new features and enhancements:

Features

File Explorer - Earthworks

We presume you liked the file explorer feature we released for the Siteworks, and Groundworks. We are happy to inform you that we are extending the feature to Earthworks as well. Now, when you select any Earthworks device from Account > Devices page, the workflow starts with the 'Machine Data' folder

This mimics the TCC file/ folder structure. You can then access the Project Library filespace from here. However, since TCC filespace is common for all machines, it shows up projects data across all machines in the account (and not specific to the initially selected Earthworks machine). The header hence reads 'All Earthworks Machines'. And from there on, you can access folder/ files like any explorer.

With this enhancement, the file explorer is now available for Earthworks, GCS, Siteworks, SCS, and Groundworks, and includes these file level operations - upload, download, delete, sort and search. Please note that the folder level ops is NOT AVAILABLE YET.

Seamless onboarding of Siteworks data collectors into WorksManager cloud

As a Trimble WorksManager/ Siteworks user, you no longer have to

before using it. Instead, you just need to login to Siteworks from the field with your TID credentials, sign up the org details, and your device will get auto provisioned in the cloud, and to all the sub systems instantly.

Please refer to the blog article for details

Download background images

We presume you like the 'publish background images to data collectors' feature in WorksManager. We are happy to inform that you can now download background images as well. You can do this as a single file/ pair or in bulk.

With this enhancement, you can now add, view, edit, delete, and download background images for data collectors. You can do as a single file operation or in bulk. Please note that there is NO preview of background image yet.

Minor enhancements

EULA - moved to user TID based

We released the 'End User License Agreement' feature in Q3 2024, where a user will be presented with the terms of use, and an option to accept it at the end. However, in the initial implementation, when you clear your browser cookie, or use a different browser like Safari, Firefox, or use the browser in incognito mode, the popup will show again, and you had to accept it again. This might have happened everytime anyone of the above changes occur, causing frustration.

We have now moved into user TID based implementation. This means, when you login to WorksManager as an authenticated TID user, the 'EULA' popup will be shown only once irrespective of browsers usages, cache clearances and incognito modes. Once accepted, it will be shown again only after one year or if there are any changes in the terms.
