Trimble Business Center (TBC) Integration

  1. Can a TBC Job Site be published to WorksManager?

If a target project is available in WM, you can publish config files and design data from TBC to WM. Publishing a Job Site is not a supported workflow.

  1. When you publish a design from TBC, what format does it go to different devices in the project?

When you publish a design from TBC, WorksManager ships the design in different formats based on what the devices can accept. For instance, WorksManager ships:

      1. vcl design by default to all Earthworks devices

      2. vcl design to Siteworks devices, if the firmware supports it; ttm/dxf design formats if firmware does not support vcl

      3. svd/ svl format for legacy machine control devices (CB4x0) that run GCS900

      4. ttm/ dxf format for legacy data collector devices (TSC3, TSC2, etc.) that run SCS900

  1. How does the updating of a design in TBC work and how does that translate to versioning in WorksManager?

When a design is altered in TBC, a 'modified' tag is applied to the design to indicate it must be re-published to WorksManager. After publishing the design, TBC will check the latest design version in WorksManager cloud, then TBC will upload the design as the next version. You will be able to see and download all previous versions of the design in WorksManager.

  1. Do work order results auto-sync into TBC?

Yes, you can import any work order from any device directly from TBC.
